Musician |
Evan has had a life-long love affair with music, and is a natural born "creative type" with rhythm and melody flowing through him. His tastes cover a wide-range of genres, representing music from the 60s, 70s, and 80s to the present day, from classic rock to new wave, hard rock and metal, to punk and showtunes. He plays a variety of instruments, starting with guitar from age 16, drums from age 21, and vocal training from age 34, as well as composing songs for over three decades. Now presenting as The Blue Rocker '71 (1971 being "The Year That Music Changed Everything"), Evan has created a fun image to match his enthusiastic and flamboyant playing and rocking style!
Evan has recently recorded 28 songs for a pair of solo albums with producer Christopher Krotky of Soudwire Studio, as well as 34 songs (3 albums plus a rock musical!) for his rock duo Soul Twin Messiah with producer Joel Jaffe at Studio D Recording in Sausalito. Historical musical highlights include: 5+ years in the San Francisco band ArmaGetitoN, songwriting contest winner for Wake Boarding Magazine, Reo Speedwagon tribute band Oh No, REO!, plus a few other fun musical projects. Follow The Blue Rocker for some fun stuff and his rock duo Soul Twin Messiah for some more serious stuff. |
